On May 13th the Town Council got an interim report from the 3rd Party (BarryDunn) reviewing our utility billing in the wake of the cyber security incident last year. This is what we learned.
Personally, I'd rather the town focus on enhanced security protocols, critical action response plan development, and IT infrastructure reinforcement to help future proof themselves against this happening again, rather than rehashing the past. Because they are quite obviously lacking in all of these things right now.
But I am just an IC3 IT/Tech specialist - What do I know? 🤷🏼♂️😂
For the .01 of people that were overcharged the town should refund them. I think it's comical that the only way to find out for sure is for people to inquire. As if we should completely trust what any government entity says.
This review was, in fact, the act of us getting our crap together. BerryDunn confirms our utility billing last year was basically correct and there was no systematic over charging.
Thank you for that report, Terry!
Thanks for the report and follow-up!

IMO, I think you're right.

If you billing was correct, that why are you saying, we were under billed?
