This is amazing! Anyone who's ever had a child in distress or severe illness knows what a blessing it is to have such an incredible resource nearby. I'm so proud of our town!
Which bridge, Veridea Parkway? I assume it would be in the development plan for Veridea overall. Grace Christian school is also going in just north of US1 there and there are planned expansions to that road already. I can't find any detailed drawings of the area from previous developer filings though.
I'm really hoping the additional development will drive the completion of long-standing proposed connections over US1 for pedestrian/bike traffic. I work just south of US1 and live just north of US1 and it's very frustrating to be forced to drive just because it's not safe otherwise.
I see it as positive, HOWEVER, not if the town and the county continue to lag on affordable housing and infrastructure. Apex will most likely become even more unaffordable.
Got to love that Tax Revenue!! I would like to know who it was that approved all these Zoning, that allowed all this building, and destroyed this little town? Did somebody get their pockets stuffed $$$.
Easy way to find out. Check their net worth and bank accounts. This little town can't take much more traffic! Not to mention that huge subdivision being built headed toward Holly Springs out of Apex.

This is not desired since it will overload our small town and make an already congested cute downtown overwhelmed
The hospital is great, but where will all of the traffic go, and where will all of the people live?
5000 permanent jobs.
8000 new residences in Veridea.
Let’s assume that’s 10000 new people and cars due to overlap.
Has anyone driven on the roads here lately.
Which Apex residents the town council serves were clamoring for Veridea?
I dunno, you'll have to go back to 2011 when it was finally approved or 2009 when it was first discussed and ask them. Been a long time
Wow! What about that bridge over Route 1, Is that going to be updated?
This project makes that a whole lot more likely

Where is the exact location of the children's hospital? I think it's a wonderful addition to our community.

It’s a non-profit hospital, there is no tax revenue
Terry, we are talking about the other stuff, and zoning.
Ok, it’s just confusing because you’re making a comment on a post about the hospital so I guess I assumed it was about the hospital
Zoning for this was approved in 2011
As for the other stuff, you’ll have to be more specific before I can tell you who approved it as the Town Council has changed over the years

It actually sounds incredibly difficult to check the bank accounts and net worth of a private citizen
That's why we have the FBI. Note, what they drive and where they live. Not to hard, really. Remember Bernie Madoff? Enough said...
